Fair Usage Policy
What follows is the Codecogs Equation Editor usage policy:
- Equations generated by CodeCogs can be used for any purpose, anywhere.
- If you provide a Link Back to CodeCogs, you can generate up to 10,000* equations a day for testing and non-commercial use. But please notify us.
- The Equation Editor Plugins (e.g. CK Editor) and Equation Editor (fxEditor) API are free to use in non-commercial applications — that is, anything you are not selling or charging for access to. See how licensing works.
- The first 100 LaTeX to C++ conversions (with fxCode) in a month are free for testing and non-commercial use.
- Interactive graphs (fxGraph) derived from the fxCode are are all free.
- For all other uses, a licence is required.
To avoid any disruption to your service, please follow these guidelines:
- Register for the Free Account or Buy a licence if you plan to routinely use our service. We'll keep you informed of any changes that might affect you.
- Notify us in advance if you expect anything out of the ordinary.
- Notify us if you experience any interruptions or irregularities in the service. We can not watch how the system works from all corners of the world, so your experience in the field is important to us. Generally speaking, without user feedback, we assume everything is operating correctly.
*The free allowance is only available if you provide a Link Back to CodeCogs. If you breach this limit we will be in contact (using your registered details) and you'll need to move to a paid licence. We reserve the right to change this free allowance and discontinue this service without prior warning.
